The River City Rough Riders is a semi-professional football team based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Founded in 2003, the team spent five years in the Northern Elite Football League (NEFL) and two years in the, Champions Amatuer Football League (CAFL). Now will be entering into their 2nd year of the Northern Lights Football League

The Rough Riders ended their 2021 season as the Northern Lights Football League undefeated champions despite the affect of COVID-19. This was the Rough Riders first ever Championship in their history and are poised to repeat the same feat for the 2022 season.

The 2022 NLFL season was indeed one to remember. Going through the league regular season undefeated as well as becoming "Back To Back" champions of the NLFL. Thus far, the only blemish on the incredible season was a non-league loss to 2021 National Champions (Minneapolis Warriors). Some would say the 8 point loss helped prove that the River City Rough Riders was a team that can compete with anyone. With completing this season 13-1 they have been recogized nationally and will actually be playing for a National Championship game in January against the Texas Red Raiders down in Daytona Beach.
