Turnovers make Rough Riders no match for Sabercats
Not the best start for 1st year QB Alex Benson. Three pick 6's, one pick 2 and a fumble in the end zone certainly did not make things easy. The Sheboygan County Sabercats capitalized and never looked back. 52-34 final score. If there was a bright spot in the game for the Rough Riders, Devion Clay rushed for over 100 yards and Todd Bland with 6 tackles and one pick 6 of his own.

Strong First Half Allow Rough Riders To Beat Pioneers
The Rough Riders needed a bounce back game to get them back on track. They did just that against there long time rival St. Paul Pioneers.
A pick 6 by Basley (#29) started things off which lead to a 30 point first half. The Rough Riders never looked back from there. First year QB Alex Benson made up for last weeks performance and threw two touchdowns (Malik Davidson, Jalanzo Jackson). Arron Taylor lead the Riders' D with a steller performance.
River City hopes to continue this momentum next Saturday when the take on the defending Northern Lights Football League 2023 Champion Illinois Cowboys.
